Materials For Special Springs

Various countries commonly use silicon-manganese, chromium-manganese, and chromium-manganese alloy steels. Special materials are used in high-temperature, low-temperature, and corrosive environments, such as antimagnetic, corrosion-resistant, and heat-resistant materials, like nickel-based alloys and beryllium copper alloys. High fatigue life: Disc springs are shot-peened in the factory to generate residual stress.

Disc spring corrosion protection: The standard treatment is zinc-phosphating followed by oiling.

If the operating environment of the disc spring requires higher corrosion resistance, the following processes can be selected: zinc-phosphating followed by wax coating, zinc plating or chromium electroplating, Delta Tone/Delta Seal coating, Dacromet coating, electrochemical nickel plating. Size range: outer diameter 8.0 mm – 800 mm. DIN 2093 (DIN 17221, DIN 17222) standard materials and special requirements materials. Disc springs with a thickness greater than 0.5 mm are shot-peened to improve fatigue life.
